Homeopathy is made of two Greek words, Homois meaning similar and pathos for suffering. It was in the 19th century that homeopathy started developing scientifically. The credit for this goes to the German physician, Dr Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). Homeopathy was created in 1796 by Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann.

Homeopathy is a medical system based on the belief that the body can cure itself.

How Does It Work?

Homeopathy is based on the idea that "like cures like", meaning that a substance that causes similar symptoms in healthy people can also treat those symptoms in the sick. Homeopathy also follows the "law of minimum dose", which states that lower doses of a medication are more effective

What Conditions Does Homeopathy Treat?

Homeopathy can treat all reversible diseases.

Preparation

Homeopathic remedies are made by diluting a substance in water or alcohol repeatedly, sometimes until there's almost no original substance left.
